Layered Goods is operated by Erik Venegas as a sole proprietor in California. This policy covers our storefront, journal, product tools, and communications with customers.
We will never sell your personal information.
We do not sell or rent customer information, trade customer lists, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not upload customer lists to advertising platforms. Necessary disclosures to payment, shipping, hosting, and email providers are described below; they are not permission to market your information.
Information we collect
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, project details, and correspondence. When you order, we receive the contact, billing, shipping, order, and payment-status information needed to process and support your purchase. Our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and access times to deliver and protect the site.
How we use it
We use information to respond to requests, fulfill and support orders, arrange delivery, process refunds, prevent fraud, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. We do not automatically subscribe purchasers or people who email us to marketing. Any future marketing subscription will require a separate choice and a way to unsubscribe.
Providers and disclosures
We disclose information only as needed to providers supporting our business: website hosting and security providers, email providers, shipping carriers, and professional advisers. Stripe processes checkout payments and may use its own fraud-prevention technologies. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number or security code. See Stripe’s privacy policy for its processing practices.
We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate fraud, or establish or defend legal rights. We do not permit providers acting on our behalf to use customer information for their own advertising.
Browser storage and tracking
We do not use advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral tracking on our storefront. Some product tools save design choices in your browser; the quote tool can save a quote draft locally. These drafts are not sent to us until you choose to send the email. You can remove locally saved information using your browser’s site-data controls. Hosting security features and Stripe checkout may use necessary cookies or similar technology.
Our storefront does not change its behavior in response to a Do Not Track signal because it does not perform behavioral tracking. Our no-sale and no-advertising-sharing commitment applies to everyone, including visitors using Global Privacy Control. Linked websites have their own privacy practices; following a link takes you to that provider’s service.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including order support, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. We delete or de-identify it when no longer needed. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to our business, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send payment-card details or identity documents by email.
Your choices
Email erik.layeredgoods@gmail.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We may need to verify your identity and retain records required for legal obligations or unresolved transactions. We will explain any limits that apply. You may contact us without agreeing to marketing.
Children
Our store is intended for adults purchasing household accessories. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
Policy updates
We will post revisions here with an updated date and provide additional notice of material changes when appropriate. Updates will not remove our commitment never to sell your personal information.
